A work permit that doesn’t need you to be employed by one employer may be an option for you with the Singapore Personalised Employment Pass. Make sure you’re aware of the application procedure, eligibility conditions, and evidence that is required.
Singapore Personalised Employment Pass is a kind of visa issued by Singapore
PEP stands for Personalised Employment Pass (PEP), a Singapore government-issued work pass that is not attached to a single company. PEPs are for highly qualified foreign nationals who want to work in Singapore.
If you hold a work permit in Singapore and haven’t been unemployed for 6 months and more, you may change employment without having to reapply for an entry visa.
In what ways are Personalised Employment Passes and regular Employment Passes distinct from one another?
There are many similarities between the two. People with Dependents and Long-Term Visit Passes may bring family members into Singapore and stay with them for an extended period of time without needing an entry visa to Singapore.
Additional limitations are imposed on Personalised Employment Pass users, such as:
In Singapore, starting a company is not allowed. An example of this would be working for your own company or engaging in entrepreneurial endeavours. Then then, if you have no stake in the company, you may serve as a director and collect a salary.
In order to be eligible for a Personalised Employment Pass, what do I need to do?
One of the following must be met in order for you to be eligible:
You had a minimum monthly salary of S$12,000 and a minimum annual salary of S$12,000 in the preceding year while holding an Employment Pass with a fixed annual salary of at least S$144,000.
